Simon Pierce is the head of APM Graphics Management, associate sponsors of TNN, producing advertising, marketing and promotional collateral for the arts since 1994.
Our creative relationship with the arts began in the UK, creating advertising pieces for the Birmingham Conservatoire. Our work came to the attention of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) where Sir Simon Rattle was making a name for himself. We were asked to assist by producing a concert programme and other promotional items which were very well received. Following our second season at the CBSO, a referral led us into a long-term relationship with both the Warwick and Solihull Arts Centres – regularly producing season brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements and promotional items for theatrical productions, dance and music concerts as well as exhibitions and bookreadings.
The theatre proper came next – the Birmingham Repertory Theatre (the Rep), the Oxford Playhouse, the Derby Playhouse and then full circle back to our musical beginnings with London Sinfonietta and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
All these relationships within the arts were long-term and developed through referrals – a fact of which we are immensely proud.
