HOME COUNTRY is a new work by Urban Theatre Projects in partnership with Blacktown Arts Centre, which will premiere as part of Sydney Festival from 11-22 January 2017. Staged in a multi-level carpark in Blacktown, HOME COUNTRY is a contemporary theatre show with live music that explores place, identity, and what it means to be home.

They are looking for enthusiastic, confident people who live in the Blacktown area to work with them on this exciting project as Home Country Hosts. Hosts are an integral part of the show, assisting audience members on various aspects of the production.

HOST DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Welcoming the audience as they arrive
Ushering and assisting with wayfinding
Handing out and collecting headsets
Basic troubleshooting of headsets
Answering questions and supporting audiences when needed
Other aspects of event delivery
You will be paid an honorary fee of $50 per shift, and will receive a Home Country t-shirt and a double pass to the show. You’ll also be part of sharing with audiences a different perspective of Blacktown.

HOME COUNTRY is looking for hosts from the Blacktown area. Technical experience is not required.

** HOSTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND BOTH THE TECH & DRESS REHEARSAL.
